What I can offer
you & your
horse:
- Regular hoof care every four to five
weeks for pleasure and performance.
- Regular and (if required) more intensive
initial hoof care for horses with pathological problems
such as founder, laminitis, navicular or
just plain neglected
hooves.
- Reliability. I will turn up within half an hour of the scheduled time,
or ring and advise should I be delayed.
- Access to a regular emailed newsletter for clients on barefoot news
and issues.
- References from happy clients (you can call or email them to check out
my credentials)
What I ask of you & your horse:
- That you be present, at least for a few trims until
I get to know the horse.
- That you commit to an agreed & regular trim schedule for ongoing
care.
- That you communicate with me any concerns you have about your horse’s
progress.
Thanks to:
- Mike and Chrisann Ware for their tireless work in seeding barefoot trimming & education in Australia.
- My fellow professional trimmers including Jenny Moncur, Fleur LeMesurier, Lou McCormack, John Gorman & Andrew Bowe for their support and encouragement.
- My good friend and local equine vet (who just can't seem to retire) Dr Alan Newman, & fellow vets Dr Alison MacIntosh (Qld) and Dr Melanie Quick (Vic) for their courage and independence.
- Kendall DeRoo (for allowing me to use a paragraph of her excellent explanation of the mechanics of the hoof)
- My own horses who I've been able to trim AND ride, and thus appreciate first hand what works and what doesn't!
- My family, who've been carried along on my barefoot odyssey and supported me in my singleminded pursuit of knowledge & experience.
